I've been a bit unhappy with some of my recent work and have made a few changes in my workflow as a result. Here is the first try. Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Nothing simple about this one Grace, love the walking pose, the eye contact, the light and exposure, I would've been tempted to remove the white dots from the bill. Congratulations!

Very nice, Grace. These guys seldom sit still it seems and I like how you caught it in mid-stride. The exposure looks right on, the bird is sharp, and the fore- and backgrounds are clean. Well done.

Loverly. I like all the tan tones. I am pretty sure that with the worn median coverts that this is a first winter bird. BTW, ditto what ramon said

    You're humble!

I wish I would have one of these guys in my files!

Excellent image Grace. Love all aspects, especially that narrow plane of focus. It is a simple composition with no distracting elements. Much, much liked. Even at 1/2,500th you couldn't freeze those legs. Fast little critter!
