    Default Snowy Plover

I recently spent a week on Sanibel Island where I worked the Snowy Plovers in the late afternoons. When not actively feeding they typically rest on the upper beach - almost invariably in a small depression in the sand (i.e., a human footprint) as this one is doing. They blend in quite well and most people walk right by and never see them. 40D, 500 f/4, 1/800, f/5, ISO 200. Comments are welcome.

Only positives from me on this lovely image, Steve. Warm and sweet, and the bird looks comfortable, not bothered by your presence.

Beautifull, OUTSTANDING light, pose, angle, detail, comp and exposure, if something, I wish the shadow wasn't there, but still, this one is terrific to my eyes! Congratulaitons!

This is a winner, Steve! The low angle, exposure, eye contact, processing... it has it all!
