Hey it could have been another duck re-do:D

Can't say I'm real happy with this, I can say I was rather shocked to see one here this time of year, especially since it has been rather cold (to say the least). It is banded as are many at the Arboretum.

cute birdie! i'd crop a bit more off the top to leave about the same amount of space up top that there is between it's tail and the left frame edge. i like the catchlight in it's eye. nice one!!

Nonda, I wouldn't know where to crop that shot-I think you handled it well-lovely bird and I still don't have a shot of one of those little guys yet!

    Hi Nonda:

Very pleasing colours, and lovely bird - Your repost much better than original, agree with Gus about taking some off the bottom too.

    Thanks for sharing

Hi Nonda - like the repost - I really like how the colours on the breast of the bird tie in with the BG colours.
    Nice One :)

Nonda - I love the bird - he's beautiful, he even has a very attractive band. My problem, even in your re-post, is the bg. I like the effect of the dried oak leaves, but the bunch in the upper right seem too far away. To me, it feels like a tad too much openness that isn't contributing.
It is amazing that bluebirds are back in Ohio already. In BC Western BB's and Mtn BB's are some of our earliest migrants in the spring and latest in the fall, but Jan????
    Cheers
