Probably the most common of our winter birds, on the coldest and bleakest of days there spirit enlivens us all, image created in - 30 degrees Celsius at my feeder set up. Canon 20D w/ 200 F/2.8L, F/7.1 @ 1/1000 sec, ISO 400, manual exposure + 2/3 ec. Is the perch too much and do the pine needles on the left detract from the image, your input is greatly appreciated
Nicely done Wayne! Great light gives the image a peaceful look and feel, even if it was captured at -30 degrees. I might minimize the lines running into the bird in the BG.
Good head angle and pretty sharp. Looks a bit dark overall. The main branch is a bit too big for the bird. The three smaller branches in the area of the bird's left foot are distracting. Best, as detailed in ABP II, to find a great perch or two and set them up near your feeder with a clean, distant BKGR.
