    Sort of the opinion that if you have seen one spoonbill in this familiar pose you have seen them all.

    Cropped to remove the birds incomplete reflection and cloned out some funky seaweed stuff where it remained.

    From Merritt Island, Fl. off of Gator Creek Rd.

    MKIII, EF 500 @1.4x, 1/1600, f/8, ISO 320, manual mode hand held.

    Great handholding Mike, love the light and eye contact, not sure about the stuff in the water.

    The light is crisp, the colors pop, and the pose is nice. I feel that the final results of the cloning are not great...the legs just look very funny/soft where they dissolve (reflectionless) into the water. The exposure is right on. I don't think I can tire of these beautiful birds!

    I noticed the smae thing that Judd mentioned about the legs, but except that, I just love everything about this shot and donīt mind the stuff in the water! Congratulaitons!

    I agree about the legs as well. I was scratching my head trying to figure which way to go with this to make it look natural. Will try again.

    Another vote about the legs. Doesn't look right. Have you tried Robert O'Toole quick mask trick?
