    Good morning everyone!
This is a follow up of my previous thread. I was so happy to add a new member to my birds collection and this one here I love the hunting pose. I was surprised to see this guy hunt in such rough water.
Besides liking the pose I also would like to explain what I did to it. Following the advices I received on the previous thread http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=28784 I expend a few hours trying to see if I was able to do it.
    My workflow:
NX2.... crop, I tried to adjust the WB coz I didn't like the color of the water but I didn't get any satisfactory results. Left it "as shot". I increase saturation and i used color boost. i did some color sharpening on reds and yellows but the head didn't look sharp at all. Then I created a TIF file.
PS.... I only sharpened it again with NIK Sharpener. Again, select color sharpening. I haven't played with noise reduction yet coz I don't know what to do with it. I'll learn that as I go along.

So this is what I got. The original shot looks a lot like the one from yesterday. I will include the original shot so you guys can compare it. If it is against the rules, please moderators, delete the second reply.

    THANK YOU!

    Nikon D300 - AFS 300 f/4 - TC17eII, AP f/6.7, 1/800 sec, ISO auto 1600, EV +1.0, Spot metering.

Nice soft light and pose. I would crop a slice from the bottom. It looks as though this image could use another round of sharpening.

Original shot "no adjustments at all". The crop is a bit different coz I just reverted the image and cropped again.
