    Default Long-tailed Duck

    1DM2n, 600mm... ISO 320, 1/4000, F 14...

I photographed this female Long-tailed Duck yesterday morning.. Given the recent talk on playing with the colour temperature, I thought now would be a good time to post this recent image. I've played around with it a lot in the past, but I had it fresh in my mind yesterday while out in the cold! Pushed it up around 8000.

I wasn't sure about the ice in the bottom right... I ended up leaving it in, but i'm willing to change it!

    Happy Shooting!

Nice silhouette. I don't mind the ice, but if possible, attaining a lower angle would have improved this image.

Hi Brandon. The golden light is nice, but I think your composition could be improved by off-setting the bird from the center. My personal choice would have probably been the lower-left based upon the direction that the bird is facing. I love the concentric rings around the duck and the golden wave crests too.
