I know the dune grass is touching him but I hope it doesn't take away from the shot

Interesting to see a fox in this habitat. Grasses are not a problem for me since there's an opening for his face and the ones that are on its bady are pointing to the face. Nice colors. Maybe a touch more contrast on the eyes?

The face is clean Denise so the environmental image works very well. I agree on the eye comments.

    Denise,
Good environmental portrait. I love the tongue. What did you do to extract this expression? :-)

I have a tiger image with tongue out. Will post that later.

    Cheers,

    Hey Denise,
    Island Beach??? Recently??
Since the face is clean and in the open....no problem with this one in the environs. If one wants to be picky.....maybe the thicker one coming out of the rump??? but maybe it's just the area into the greenery. Nicely composed!

This works just fine, Denise. The face is perfectly framed in the open grass. The light is soft, and the pose, comp and detail tell us about habitat. BTW, I don't believe I've ever seen a photo of a red fox on the beach.
    Lovely photo!

Beautiful Image Denise and I love the composition with the tall grasses. Agree with the above comments. Congratulations on a fine capture.
