    Default Double-bar Finch

One of Australia's wonderful little finches - actually Double-barred Finch. I captured this not far from home. Approximately 70% of the original. Not an easy bird to photograph at all.

    Nice shot Akos!

They are a magnificent looking bird and you've done a nice job capturing it with excellent detail.

    Happy Australia Day!!!

Wow, you are right...it is a wonderfful little finch. It may be worth taking the time to mask the bird and main perch in order to then eliminate the OOF branches in the BG. Thanks for sharing this beauty :-)

Now that is a fat little birdie. You did well with a relatively poor light angle (from the right). The softness of the light helped. Sharp with a good EXP and a perfect head angle.

Great job, Akos. These little ones are challenging and this is a lovely neat specimen. I agree with Dan about spending some time on the BG if you're OK with that.

    Hi Akos!

One more vote for working on the BG.
Lovely species. The details you have gotten here are fabulous, I particularly find the bill very attractive (it looks like if it's plastic!)
    Great definition.

Cool image Ákos. Lovely bird which I have never seen on a photo.
BG is a bit busy but the bird still pops up from it.

Thanks for the kind comments and tips. Now that I am slowly getting the gist of the QM process :) I will do just that.

Happy Australia Day to you too Ari! :)
