    Nicely done. Love the head angle and the fact that the bill does not merge with the back. EXP good, colors look natural. A healthy crop from the bottom would improve it as there is much more water below the bird than above....

    Agree with Artie on the head angle, merge and exposure. However, lighting is everything in photography and warmer lighting would of served this better as opposed to overcast , flat light....

    The Loon is in the right spot, but I agree it needs to be cropped a fair amount.

    Thanks Guys, I had thought I needed to leave room for bird to swim into. Also I was worried about a bigger crop as bird was a bit far off for my 400mm and I had made a reasonable crop already; concerned about crappy look from too large a crop. Tks again, Dave
