That's a dandy photo Katie. I really like the vertical format. Interesting features in the high lights at bottom. Not sure if the circles are from "focal Blades" in lense or not. All pluses as far as I can see. Dave

Katie - Exposure, composition, perch, color, sharpness - all right on. Congrats. I am not sure what I think about the Seurat effect in the lower bg (is it a bit distracting?) - probably a matter of personal choice.

Neato Katie! Really nicely done. My eye keeps getting drawn to that one small stick going up by the bird

Hi Katie - Very Very nice - well done :)

I agree with Nonda - I would QM out that stick in the BG that looks like it is going out of the top of the perch.

    :)

    Hi Katie

That was a good bird to fly up there on Q as the sun was coming up !!! I have him trained :)

Don't mind the bird looking away since he is looking form something in the distance, might crop tighter to eliminate some of the bottom cutter. I wold also have been tempted to leave as a framing element but rather concentrate on the bird. btw against the light that DO lens does have some peculiarities !!! Excellent !!1
