took a trip up to jonathan dickenson state park yesterday. thought this was a cool shot so i tried it in HDR. it was mid morning so all the good light was gone.

    D300, 18-200VR at 18mm, f/10, 1/10s to 1/100s, ISO 200. five images HDR generated in Photomatix Pro +2 to -2 at 1-stop intervals.

thanks for looking and comments and critiques appreciated.

Very nice Harold, with great colours. I can't believe I'm saying this:), but does it need a touch of CCW rotation! (judging by the vertical posts pn the walkway.)

Harold, there is so much to look at here and I love the colors and the perspective.

    Excellent composition Doctor Davis,
This is sweet...I like the tones and hues which balance out very well. I like the boardwalk which leads your eye all the way up to the crest of the hill...you are just a slight tad off on level not that much, you need a 0.25 of CCW rotation...the way the natural terrain is, gives you the optical illusion that it has a prominent downward slant to the right. I do see a slight barrel distortion at 18mm, but not by much...its ok... congrats on this...well composed and executed...

Hi Harold. The way the board walk rocks back and forth it kind of has the feel of a suspended walk way, from the tree tops. Lots of great colours. Dave

Very nice job Harold. I love the colors and the comp. The HDR looks cranked up and gives the image an illustrated effect. Love it, congrats!!!

    Hi Harold

Love the way you processed the HDR, the colours are beautiful.

As far as rotation needed, I think it's an optica illusion, as checking upright posts, to my old peepers they are perfect, or do I need new glasses?

    Here's my take on post.

    Thanks for sharing

    Uncle Gus
