    Default Just a Ring Billed Gull

    was very very overcast here yesterday in NW Louisiana,
    and other than light intensity being low, it was perfect for whites.

    Gulls are seldom dynamic, but I liked this pose

    400mm f/5.6L, ISO 800, 1/1000, f/6.3, manual exposure 2:38 in afternoon.

    You did really well in what looks like less than ideal light. I like the pose, details, exposure control and eye contact. BG and composition look good, too.

    thank you for your time Axel, much appreciated comment....would have love to up that shutter speed by 50%

    Well done. I especially like the oof trees in the lower BKGR and the foot sticking through the tail feathers.

    Nice work Dave... I really like 'two tone' backgrounds like this, and the posture of the gull is pretty sweet, from the intent look to the wing position to the variance in the position of the feet.
