I like the blue jay's pose. Did I crop it too much?

    Hi Tom,
Most people....even me who likes tight crops...........may be a bit tight on the tail. The BG isn't perfect...but is muted and blurred enough for my tastes......but if it is a set up situation......try and find a more even toned BG. Lighting looks pretty good as does the detail throughout with a slight DOF falloff on the tail. Nicely done overall.

Pose, perch and details look good but it is too tight in the frame for my taste. I would run noise reduction on the BG. Keep them coming!

Nice Tom. I do think you cropped this a bit too tight and I would like to see a little more space. I agree that the background is a bit distracting (particularly the big white spots). Great work on the exposure and capturing a unique pose with a fine head angle. I'm sure you'll have more opportunities with this species and I look forward to seeing the results!

The bird is super sharp and I love the perch and the pose. The guys above have nailed the rest.
