    Taken off the point, Point Roberts, Wa. 50D, 400/5.6 at f/5.6 Av mode, 1/500, EC+2, ISO400.

    I like it Dave Nailed the pose and flapping, only a faster firing body would have giving you the exact open wing position.

    Did well with the compensation. I think under those light conditions I would have bumped the ISO for more shutter speed. For flapping birds is marginal, not talking about freezing the wings but having the body sharp and wingtips showing motion !! I like the image a lot !!

    Dave, This is really good. colors in white are great! water looks great .I might be tempted to take a bit off bottom. Well done!!!

    Very nicely done, Dave. I've been trying for this kind of shot for awhile now and its not as easy as one might suspect. Good advice from Al.
