Nice to nearly fill a frame with a beautiful hawk. Great wing position and eye contact. The bird could stand some additional sharpening; I would have pushed my ISO higher to get a bit more shutter speed. Also I would lighten the iris a bit.

Ray I can´t imagine how much fun are you having with this cooperative bird and you can´t imagine how much envious I am :D The pose is fantastic and I like a lot that kind of soft and cold light in images with the Bg almost white. I really like this one. Very good job!

Great pose and eye contact, details and BG look good, too. I actually like this kind of light. You could maybe lighten the eye a bit more and there is a thin diagonal line in front of the bird, maybe an OOF power line?

Yes Axel, I did clone out a power line, and must have missed something, I wish I had a good monitor, as I am just using a laptop for editing., I will open it again, and have a look.

after tilting my screen almost all the way back, I did see it, and I do wonder what it is? I will have a look at the site today.

Re-post works for me Mr. Raptorman! I agree with lightening the iris a bit to make it stand out/pop a bit...

P.S. Axel has eyes as good as that RTH! ;)

I love white skies for flight photography and I love this image. The underwing detail is amazing and the pose and wing position fabulous. Lightening the iris was the final touch. You gotta watch out for Axel, he is the master monitor tilter.
