    Default Jupiter Island Sunrise

    Attached Images Attached Images

Taken this morning standing on the side of the road. Can you tell it's HDR?

Six images taken 1-stop apart from +2 to -3EV. Loaded into Photomatix and tonemapped in Photomatix. Further tweaking done in Capture NX2 with color control points to work slight adjustments in areas to blend in light and color.

    D300, 18-200VR at 18mm, f/7.1, ISO 200. exposures ranged from 30s to 1/3s.

thanks for looking and comments and critiques are appreciated.

Harold, I always go to Jupiter Island for photos-never saw that shot. Looks fantastic! Doesn't look like HDR-you are getting really good at these!

Harold, this is beautiful; I love the sunset colors and IMO it doesn't have an HDR look at all. Neat!

Neat looking and natural Harold !!! Would check the light smoothing I see a halo around the palm trees? I like this look for the HDRs I think obtaining a full tonal range like you have here is the key !!! Big Congrats !!!

I love the palm tree silhouette. Great clouds around the horizon. I agree with Al on the light smoothing. Cropping some of the bottom might improve the composition. Good job, I like this one:).

thanks everyone. i had light smoothing on max. i usually use next to max, but it showed more of a halo at that setting. i will try working on it some more. thanks for the suggestions!!

Great composition H. I could not tell this was HDR. None the less I like the differnt tones you've captured.
