Not the sharpest bird I have photograph but light was not the best, I know I could have gone higher with the ISO but I need no more noise, I try to use 400 ISO as my maximum ISO.

This was a very shy fellow to photograph.
In Costa Rica we call this guy Mielerito Patirrojo! yes, a very fussy name!:)
This bird is in the Thraupidae family (Tanagers)

    Carlos,

    Geez the color is amazing...

I would rather have a sharp image with more noise than a soft one in the trash.

    Best,

    Chas

What a beautiful bird, great colors, pose and BG. Too bad it is so soft, I'm with Chas regarding higher ISO. If the bird more or less filled the frame, the noise at ISO 800 should be acceptable. I hope you will get a chance to photograph this species in better light.

Nice look-back pose. I'm with Chas about noise vs. sharpness. I'll always take sharp with noise over soft without noise.

Agree with all of the above but do know that the blues and reds need to be de-saturated quite a bit. (I know that they are colorful birds but I photographed them in Panama...)

    Ok Mr. Morris!

    What about something like this?
I will be working this subject again, and again, and again until I get the results that I want.
Thank you so much for your suggestion, much appreciated.
