Default The Double Cluster in Perseus

Wednesday night, me and a fellow imager braved the unusual cold (36 deg in South Florida) for a couple of hours!
I took a chance and tried my new Pentax 0.77x67P reducer for my Pentax 125 SDP. From F6.4 it got down to F4.9, making it a fast 616 mm focal length refractor!
Unfortunately I spent 2 hours trying to get the Canon 40D orthogonal to the imaging plane! If it is not, then stars would show elongation!

Anyway, I got 25 minutes of the Double Cluster from a moderately light polluted backyard!
3 minutes subs @ 1600 , no darks, no flat, no bias frames.

I have some unusual reflections on the brighter stars and I don't know what causes that! I will troubleshoot in an attempt to find out!

I cannot seem to be able to post attachements? I'm not sure why is that !

They only allow members to directly upload image now. Perhaps you could try the "Insert Image" icon in the tool bar. Copy the image location then click one "Insert Image":

Emanuele, I checked out your website and you have some really fantastic shots. I did have a look at this one and Desmond's post does not do it justice. Are you not a member??? These shots are truly awe-inspiring. There is a thread on how to post at the top of the forum.

Thank you so much to all of you! :) (HI Alfred! Good to see you!)
No, I'm not a member yet, but will join soon!

For this image unfortunately I could not get the time I wanted because of some problems my buddy imager had that night and had to go home sooner than expected!

I'd love to "meet" the other guys posting star images!

The original shot on the website is huge. Not sure if it can be shown here.
