Eagle at Bosque del Apache feeding through the ice. Never enough reach, 600 was too short here.
Cropped and reverse curve selectively applied on the eagle. Thoughts?

THe action is great, but light seems to be the element letting it all down. :)

Great action and drama but light angle making it very difficult.

agree-nice drama but the image does not work well as the lighting is harsh and there is not sufficent detail or sharpness in any of the birds.

The captured moment is great. The problems have been mentioned. Could you have added a teleconverter?

To pull it off I think you needed more detail and sharpness in the main subject- the eagle. Great capture of action though.

Hi Mark, You did as good as you could but the harsh, off-angled light was fatal. Next time try a higher ISO and a TC and pray for clouds.
