Here I feel that centering the tree and the sun works wonderfully. I am certainly going to learn a lot here on how to make compelling images in the Florida landscape.
I really like the simplicity of this image Jason. The central location of both the sun and tree gives the impression that the sun is working at illuminating the tree through the fog. Very nice.
I'm new around here and just looking around. I am happy to bow to the knowledge and views of my betters, but I am surprised at the positive comments on this image. I can live with the idea that the sun is so high in the sky at "sunrise" but I find that the harsh brilliance of the sun kills the subtlety of the tree in the mist. If this was my image (I wish!), I think I would crop the top 1/3 off above the first layer of cumulous cloud, just before the sun starts. Does it work for you like that?
