Hello all. The interesting thing about this shot is that I got it with a P&S, 5MP Canon S2 IS.

S2 IS @ ISO100, program AE and auto WB and evaluative metering, 1/100th sec @ f/4, lens maxed at 72mm, late afternoon sun in southern Utah

    What say ye?

    Hi Kerry,
You would be surprised as to what the point and shoots can do now a days...the details are sharp, and so is the eye; however, the head angle is off and the capture angle is boarder line steep...I would suggest in cloning out the two pieces of debris on the left side of the background...if you would have changed your position by moving to the right, the had angle would have been within the target zone...looking forward to your next one...

Thanks Gus. I left that debris in there thinking that it would show that there is some color to this shot! ;) Captured that a few years ago before I knew anything about shooting birds. Amazing how much better my camera is since I've been listening to advice here!

Hi Kerry I like the work these point and shoots can do !! Remember to use their size to an advantage ... you can just lower the camera to ground level and shoot without using the viewfinder or lcd on back of camera. Will get some interesting perspectives !!!

Well exposed Kerry with beautiful details and colours. Might just take out the two pine needles in the left side of the frame.
