One of my biggest goals for this trip is to get a nice collection of hummingbird images. I've been really trying to do multi-flash that actually looks NATURAL. So hopefully I am starting to get on the right track. I'd love to hear any feedback as I have 4.5 more months down here to perfect the art.

If anyone wants to see a few more I just added some images to my site...

    All the best!

Glenn, absolutely a beautiful image! I don't think the cut rear leaf helps the image compositionally. I would crop a little out and clone out the rest. I might add a bit more canvas to the top also. Exposure, sharpness, backround and lighting is excellent!

Wow Glenn, this is a gorgeous image!
The first thing I notice was the light, it certainly looks natural. Pose is fantastic. I only find the bill ''kissing'' the flower a bit weird, but that's my only nit. Enjoy those left months!

Great job, Glenn. Light, BG and diagonal comp works perfectly for me.

Love it Glenn! How many flashes did you use in this set-up, and how did you position them?

Absolutely gorgeous! Love your BG (artificial???) and the light looks incredible especially for flash IMHO. Great set up, with beautiful flowers and such a pretty hummingbird. All in all it looks perfected to me already. Read your blog and saw your video, really cool stuff, leaves me green of envy :D Enjoy your time out there!

The bird looks great and I love the wing position. The BKGR is too dark in most places for my taste and the lighter areas are a bit distracting.
