This is the second image I liked from my recent (-31 Celsius) shoot in the graveyard. I was happy with the eye contact and BG, but, was not crazy about the shadow on the branch.

50D with my 400mm f5.6 lens.

Nice pose and detail on the bird here, Garry. I agree with your comment about the shadow but you may be able to dodge this a bit lighter. Light angle is not ideal and that is what has caused the shadow issue. I would crop a little from the right to decentre the bird.
