    Doug, great composition, I like both the pose and especially the perch with bud at bottom and Y at top. Also like the snowflakes, good context for this wintertime bird. From what I can see on my iPhone LCD, the bird is sharp. No catchlight needed on this snowy day. Congrats!

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

    About the catchlight, I understand now that it doesn't need one but the eye looks like a socket without it. Should I just remove it and try to lighten in an iris?
