    Default American Goldfinch (winter plumage)

Taken Christmas eve out in the backyard, I was actually setup for other birds when this one decided to pay a visit.

Great setting, light, details and BG. I only wish there were no berries in front of the tail.

Mike, what a nice Christmas composition with the bird and red berries. I like that some of the berries obscure part of the tail, good context. Good pose, a soft catchlight, and perfect BG. Bird looks sharp on my iPhone LCD. No nits, congrats!

The bird appears to be glowing; it's beautifully captured. I'm with Axel on the berries partially obscuring the tail feathers.

This is a masterpiece! You have a great pose, some wonderful FG and a nice, clean BG. I would wish for a little more canvas at the top but not much.
