    Greetings,
    Our most common buteo, I found this one gliding through the foothills here in southern Az.
    50D 1/1000 @ f11 ISO 400 300mmf4 L +1.4x

    I like the look this one is giving you! Sharpness is good. Some + EC would have helped bring out the detail under the wings. S/H would help here too.

    I like the head position and eye contact. I agree regarding positive EC and maybe a bit more space at the right.

    I checked this image out in PS and the whites are already blown in the red channel. In RAW, their might be some overhead but my point is that additional exposure probably would have blown the whites.

    Best bet is to use flash if close enough or open up shadows in conversion/post processin.

    All good stuff above. My only wish is that the head were on a bit straighter, i.e., turned a bit more toward the viewer. Thanks big time for your membership support!
