This is one of the pictures that I took in Costa Rica when I first started with my photography. I started with a D70 Nikon, and since have upgraded. This is my 3rd post. I'm an really glad to be apart of the BPN. I love looking at all the photos that are posted, so I can get a better understanding, thought it would be fun to see what you all thought of this picture.

    F4.0, S250, ISO200, 200-400 4.0 lens,VR, Handheld

    Look forward to your Critiques.

The image and composition are really very nice. This image is a perfect example of where some fill flash would have taken it up another level.
    Well done all the same.

    Cheers

Thanks Marc, I know just what you mean. I wasn't going to post because I thought it was to dark. I really wished I know what I was doing back then. I'm glad that you confirmed that for me. I'm glad to have shared it with other BPN photographers.

Michelle, It's absolutely adorable-Did you try S&H to bring out some light and maybe you could darken down some of the blown highlights in PP. I think it would be worth your time

Michelle, I quite like your behavior shot and you might try using the shadow/highlights adjustment on their faces and maybe getting rid of those bright white spots on the right (crop and/or burn)?

Michelle, Gosh what unigue image, the concern and expressions make it look like open heart surgery. Love that hand, almost looks like a photo all by itself. Looking forward to the next one. Dave

HI Michelle These guys are tough to photograph because of the environment they live in, will always find them in mixed light. Here you got the best possible image from your vantage point.

Can tweak in PS as suggested evening out the light but be careful with shadows, overdoing make them look muddy. btw the flash suggestion is excellent.

Michelle, love the family interaction of your capture, do agree that maybe fill flash would have been ideal.
    Congrats

Quite an event removing those insects. Everything already covered Michelle. Might be worth a re-work. Great behavioural shot.
