    Greetings All!
Great day, today. Good light, lots of birds (mostly ducks) and a new lens that is blowing me away! C&C greatly appreciated and thank you for looking.

Hey you got the 500, COOL! On my list eventually

Really great colors and details, love that duck! Not sure about so much brown below the duck?

Hi Katie - Congrats on the new lens - lovely colours and sharp - like the raised foot.

Heres my take - cropped some of the bottom off and sharpened the eye a tad.
    :)

Thanks Lance, I like the crop and the eye. It seems that I need to be more bold with eyes as that is a frequent comment on my images.

You'll love the lens; of course you have to start working on your biceps and triceps to carry it around (smile).
Love the image - sharpness, exposure, color, raised foot all terrific. I agree with cropping some off the bottom but I am not sure about the sharpening of the eye - looks a tad unnatural to me (too light). Another plus is that this is an uncommon image of a duck - sort of like "a duck out of water" (smile - couldn't resist)

    Cheers
    Gail

Hi Katie big congrats on your new lens and tripod :)

Like the crop by Lance Just right !!! For these ducks you should make multiple images since lighting up the feathers is a mater of chance. When the sun hits them the right way they are a thing of beauty !!! Big Congrats !!!

Katie, your characteristic sharpnes and colours will be improved even more. Have fun with that lens. Lucky you. Would take a bit off the bottom. Love the colours on this bird.
