I managed to get some sixty great photographs of a friendly BSK at the Edithvale Wetlands in Melbourne on the 15/01/09.

We also had the VERY RARE Painted Snipe (only 5 sightings in Victoria) which stayed with us at Edithvale for some 8 weeks, sadly his little hideaway was flooded in late december and he has since vanished.

Thanks for the info, Chris. Well done to get this image - Robert has offered good advice on the Avian forum. I might push the red sat on the eye up a little.
