    A common bird here, but I was pleased to get a nice portait. This was taken at Bosque Del Apache yesterday (1/20/08) The ripply brown reflection is from grasses and reeds on the opposite bank. I thought it added to the image feel. I'm interested in your thoughts on the shot. Thx.

    20D, 500mm f/4 with 1.4x
    1/800 @ f/7.1
    -2/3 EV (to hold detail in the whites)
    ISO 100

    Hi Keith. I must have missed you, because I was there yesterday too (it was 3 degrees at sunrise). I like the shot, but I think it needs some CW rotation and a little more room on the right. Otherwise a great shot.

    Beautiful capture with nice lighting, detail and reflections . I agree about the CW rotation and room to the right.

    Agree with the nits. It also looks a bit dark to me.
