    ISO 800 1/800 f 14

    Image was captured with black rocks as a background. Almost no adjustments was made to background except adding some canvas.

    I love the detail in the feathers although he looks extremely light for a Brown. Great wingspan and dramatic BG, he would have been better coming at you or turning the head back at you.

    I'm a little in agreement with Fabs on the brown. Could he be immature? The f/14 served you well giving you rich feather detail otherwise missed coming from the other direction. The slight head turn works for me profiling that big boy's bill. Striking BG for this shot. Welcome aboard.

    The color is accurate as I have other shots in the sequence that have different BG and exposures. As Bill McCrystyn pointed out, it's probably an immature.

    This is a striking view of the a pelican given the black background and extreme sharpness wing-tip to wing-tip. I have to share the wish for at least a glance from the pelican, but it's hard to get it all! Nice work Glenn.
