    Default Roosting Waders

    Hi

A photo taken at the end of last year of some waders waiting for the tide to recede. The group comprises of bar-tailed godwit, grey plover and a solitary knot. This group was located at the end of a much larger flock of birds. Some of the image seems to be lost by having reduced its size such as the catch lights in the birds with the turned heads but you get the general impression. I like the serenity of the birds contrasted with the raging see behind in this photo.

    Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens mounted on a sand-pan' at ISO 320 F20 +0.67EV at 1/125s

    Cheers

Superb low angle and warm light. Waves really seem to tower over the image in the BG. Wonder about a severe pano crop eliminating the sky and top of the waves from the BG.

Good group shot. I love the low angle and the reflections. Both the lighting and the exposure are good. I would have liked to have a few more birds looking towards the camera.

Good job, I like this one.
