    Hi Folks:

    Creature of habit ~ returned home from the gym, and every night we have a glass of vino and lay back on our lounges on the front patio. No different tonight until I glanced up and saw a sunset begining. Knowing it would hit its peak in about a minute, I called Gina, jumped up and ran in for my camera. This was the second shot and 30 seconds later it was finished.

    Hi Uncle Gus,
    I like the bold colors and the composition...the tree or vegation line is not sharp...its a little on the fuzzy side...using such a low shutter speed, did you capture on a tripod or hand held? Also might want to do a pass of noise reduction in the background...:cool:

    HI Folks;

    Thanks for your comments. It happened so fast I was lucky to get only my camera. The colours are what impressed me.

    Well you certainly captured the colours very well Gus. I was wondering how it would have turned out if at that low ss you had deliberately moved the camera to get a blur. I know what you mean, sometime you just ahve to take the shot and see what happens. i might try the deliberate motion sometime. Perhaps you'll get another chance tonight. Dave

    Hi Gus The colors are incredible sure hope you get another chance soon and are able to set up.

    For silhouettes you do need to have sharp outlines to make them look best. Might also want to try a stitched pano? Real easy to do in CS3 !! Will look neat !!
