Beautiful shot, Nonda. And that sky!! What can I say ...
Super elegant, reasonable sharpness despite crop.
Well done.
Is this really how it came out of the camera, or is the bg created (and very well)?
Gail
Created Gail:) Hi David tried not to make a hash with those cloud brushes
Glad it works.
Should add the bird was not relocated, canvas was added to the right side

Well presented and executed Nonda...a pretty sky indeed...You have good details on the bird...an unusual neck angle...:eek:looking forward to your next one...
Hi Nonda, It is such a nice picture and I just feel it is dying for a nice catchy humorous phrase typed in somewhere. Poor girl looks like she missed her flight and the family has left with out her.
It is really nice, good looking duck, clouds and colours. I like it a lot. Dave
Dave the male was right behind her heading away and not just sorta:-)
Thanks guys
lovely image, Nonda! The sky is great!
Nonda, That is a great sky!!! And a great looking duck also!! Love the neck angle-well done!
i think I might try to crop some off the top, making the duck larger in the frame, and more of a pano style... I keep wanting to see more of the duck.
Cheryl,
it won't take anymore crop, I wasn't sure it would go as far as it did so fluffed up the sky a bit to make a scene:-)
Glad you like it Denise, thanks
Hi Nonda - Lovely image - I too vote for more of a Pano Crop.
:)
The bird looks great !! Hope the air has enough oxygen for the bird up there :D
If this was a full frame I would be hyperventilating !!! Great pose and what a bg !!!
If this was full frame, I'd be hyperventilating myself:D Or my arm would be broke from patting self on back
Thanks
nice job with the bg!!! like the duo/tri tone. love the wing pose too!
Very serene with beautiful colours Nonda. Must have been fun to work on.
Hey Mr H!
Yes Jackie it was fun
Glad you like
Congrats Nonda. A truly gorgeous image. What a background.
Big time congrats
Desmond gently touches on a valid technical point (easily overruled by artistic license, of course): Those clouds painteed waaaay below the bird would put our feathery friend at about 12,000 feet. Now that is one ambitious chicken, to say nothing of Nonda, who perched up there to make the shot.
David..I almost posted back to Desmond..Don asked.."what ya do take that out of a plane window?"
So quite valid;) I think the way the grad was used also adds to the 'thin air' effect, I'm going with artistic license on this one.:p:D

Stunning. It's so hard to get these beauties in the air.
