Hello from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is my first post here in the forum. Just starting with bird photography. Here are some few. Please don't be shy to criticism.
I won't put names as I only know them in Portuguese. Thank you.
Here you will find a home where you can post your images and receive gentle constructive critiques from other photographers who share the same passion as you do.
A few ground rules to go by:
Images should be in jpeg.
Format Images should not exceed 200 kilobytes nor should they exceed 1024 pixels on the horizontal side or 800 pixels on the vertical side.
Only one image per post.
Members may post only one image in each forum in a twenty-four hour period.
Forum Contributors may post one image in each forum in a forty-eight hour period.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work...:) Once again, welcome...
Gus outlined the guidelines well If you have any questions please send a PM and will be glad to help. I deleted the extra images but feel free to post them again in other posts !!
Would suggest to place the tech info separate form the image, there is nothing wrong with the way its presented I just feel it detracts from the image. Same for prominent watermarks but its all a personal choice.
As presented I might move the bird lower in frame, would also reduce saturation and contrast. Looking forward to many more .... on separate posts :)
Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate. I will work the action related to the border and info. I shall have a better one next week. Still not sure about the watermark. I'll try to make it less intrusive.
I never understood why some guys spend like $5K on a 500/4L just to photograph birds. But now that I started, it's a challenge ! And very pleasing. The challenge of the moment, the right place at the right time, walking with friends, good chatting. I understand now.
Btw, I found the forum because of Arthur Morris' webpage http://www.birdsasart.com/ Maybe when looking for reviews about a long tele (Bigma vs Canon 100-400, i don't recall).
