    Photographed in July '07 in germany with Canon 30D and 400F5.6 with 1/1000s, F6.3, ISO-200 and EC -1/3.

    I realize that the background is busy and the head angle could be better. :cool:

    Besides of your own comments, looks like the little dry branch on the left looks sharper than your subject.

    Nice find, I agree with your observations and am not really sure what your camera focused on, a wider DOF might have helped.

    The busy bg is nice habitat. I think a little selective sharpening would do nicely for this. And IF it was possible, a lower angle would create a little better perspective of this guy.
