24 Hours At Grand Canyon - Suggestions?

I'm heading to Vegas in mid April and will have 1 day to go to and shoot the South Rim. I'm staying in one of the lodges at GC.

So I'm gonna have a sunset shoot and a sunrise shoot and some in between shoots.

any suggestions for the best locations?

Hey Michael - Shooting from the South rim can be accomplished by car or transit bus. All the major view sites are within 100yrds of the road with parking areas. Hiking the edge can be done but not within your time constraints. The big trick is weather - pray for some. Some days the canyon is clear and free from haze - some days heavy haze. Wide angle lens, Polaroid filter are good choices. I talked to many that were using 70-200mm and trying to shoot parts and pieces of the canyon.
