Foogy day and I used Toapz Adjust to bring up th ecolours and contrast. The silky look is from a final pass with Topaz denoise. If this is too adjusted for this forum and the Moderators or others think it belongs in Out of The box, please let me know. Dave

I'll pop this one in just to show slightly different take on same scene.

    Dave,

It'd be nice to see the rendered version before Toapz Adjust. I don't even know what Toapz Adjust is, so seeing what effect it has versus the original would be helpful to me. If there is another thread with that info on it, please forgive my ignorance. I like the scene otherwise, although the second photo seems to muddy the air a bit.

    Thanks,

    Stefan

Hi Dave We have no problem with out of the box here ..... as a mater of fact some of us are out of the box :)

I like the effect but having trouble with the cropping, don't like seeing all the masts and VHS antenna clipped. Would try including all of them or going tighter on the top.

Scrawling up and down shows the effect well, subtle but effective

I like both..Really like the pop on the second one, but prefer the cleaner sky on the first.

    NICE boats Dave

Hi Stefan, Attached is a cropped "unprocessed" original. Unprocessed from the point that i did not run a final pass of Topaz Denoise. Topaz sells photo finishing software including Denoise and Topaz Adjust. Adjust offers Photoshop plugins which are probably quite similiar to lots of others. I wanted better software for noise control, read some threads in the general discussion forums, tried the 30day trial of Topaz Denoise and bought it. Topaz Adjust comes free with Denoise.
In hindsight composition not the greatest due to in camera cropping.

Thanks for comments and suggestions, Dave

    Hi Dave:

Nice shot of the Seiner's with the Gill Netter in front. Looks like it may of been taken on the Fraser River. Brings back lots of good memories of grunt work I did on them as a kid. Like lying under the gill netters with a disk sander smoothing out the Fir hulls . . . grrrrr!

Thanks for sharing a wonderful moment.
