Just got back in town from a winter birding trip! I do love those Pelicans.

    Kathy,

Great clarity and focus. Without his eye, you could almost mistake him for some strange type of flower. Nice work.

Hi Kathy - great detail and good eye contact - I would sharpen a tad more and do some work on the eye - lighten a tad and sharpen.
    Looking forward to more :)

Kathy, I love Pelicans, I like your interesting crop! Maybe a tad lighter on eye. Well done!

    Hi Kathy,
I like the composition, you have a very good head angle and sharp eye contact...I adjusted the mid-tones and lightened the background just a tad. also lightened the eye and resharpened...see if this presents best to you...

Hysterical Kathy! Love the fish in the mouth, maybe the eye somewhere between the orig, and the repost by Gus. Really like it:)

Thanks, for the suggestions. Glad to hear you think the eye needs to be lightened. Sometimes I feel like I lighten it too much and it does not look natural! The mid range adjustment is right just what it needed to make it stand out.
