    Hi Folks;

    When you get lemon's make lemonade! Also you can take the bird out of the picture, but can't take ther picture out of the bird.

    Uncle Gus aka "The Ramblin' Mad Artist."

    CC's always welcome and very much appreciated.

    First 2 offerings painted using Corel's Painter 4, and imagination.

    Removed original, as I would like comments on the 2 paintings as they are presented.

    Uncle Gus,
    After looking at the full original capture, I choose the first capture; but with more room all the way around; would like to see the feet and tail; then the applied effect and framing...I like the colors on the bird...you have a very sharp crystal eye...good show...:cool:

    Very unique and I like the first one although I like just the eye colored on B&W.

    Gus,

    Not seeing the original, I'm going with photo #2. The black and white makes for more of an artistic image, which compliments the varied border, and the colored eye creates a nice focal point and relays more of an attitude for the bird. Nice job uncle...I didn't even know I had one named Gus. BPN is teaching me a lot about my family roots!!! :)

    Hi Gus, Both are very nice with an eye catching pose. If I had to choose, I would go for the second, more contrast, the fine details seem to jump out more amd the eye stares out. Both could be printed up and posted.
