    Looks really good with the ghost-like reflections. If anything if the rear bird's head were turned more into the light...... Not sure, but see if you were to crop off the dark area at the top, how it would look?

    Unusual composition whis is very interresting. Fill flash would ave helped for the second bird's head. You could try to reveal more using shadows/highlights in Photoshop.

    Great shot. The matching leg positions makes this shot. I don't think the lack of light on the second bird's face is a huge issue. The shot is not about the bird's faces, it is about their legs. Besides, in people photography it is not always desirable to completely light the subject's face, so why do we insist on this when the subject is a bird.

    I don't think I'm going to last very long in this forum. I've only been here for a day and already the criticism is beginning to sound like a broken old record.

    Thanks for the comments and suggestions. Stick around Jon. I take the criticism as constructive feedback. The birds were too far away to use flash effectively, but it's a good suggestion should they have been reachable.
