Beautiful image. I really like the head/eye angle in the same direction as the falling snow. And welcome to BPN.

Welcome Mao! Beautiful first post. Love the falling snow, the dark mood, and the excellent sharpness (impressive for 1/125 at 800mm). It'd be nice if the owl had been looking at you, but there's enough eye contact to make the connection with the bird. Look forward to more of your photos!

Welcome to BPN, Mao! Great first post. I like the details, snowy perch and falling snow. It could go a bit brighter for my taste. Where did you photograph this bird? Keep them coming!

Nice image Mao. :) Love the soft feel about it, very dream-like. (I like that expression). Great for hand held too. Arms of steel! ;)

Like the image. Most has already been said. I would like to see a bit more contrast; image seems a bit flat ;-

Wellcome on board Mao and what a great first post. Love the dramatic mood of the scene and the detailed textures of both the owl and the perch. The snow flakes in motion are a very nice addition to the image. I think that the image could be much better adding a touch of contrast/levels adjustment (the snow on the perch looks very gray) and a touch of saturation to the eye to add a note of colour to this almost B/W image. Very good handholding technique BTW

A beautiful image Mao, incredibly well done considering this was hand held in very poor light conditions.
