Face on portrait of Snowshoe Hare in the stage of change from white to brown-grey. Taken in June in Yellowstone NP. I know it is centered but that seemed to work for me and I left a little extra in front for him to hop into.
This is my substitute picture for snow if we do not get snow.

Comp looks good. I like the pine bough BG and the grass in the mouth pointing just slightly off center into the direction he's heading adds a nice little touch. A lower angle, if possible might've been nice. Seems like you might be able to pull a little more detail out of those white feet?
I forgot to mention the environment is multiple evergreen boughs that fell down after freezing weather and the wind creating a floor of fresh evergreen finery. He however prefered the fresh green grass shoots.
