    Default Motif-Action (Making a Simple Frame)

    Another shot from South America at the Recolata Cemetary in Buenos Aires. It is an HDR of 2 shots. Too tired right now to find the specs, but it is for the "Action" motif we have right now.
    I created the frame using an action. After I have done all the PP (this is where I started to record the action) I did the following:
    - make a new empty layer add canvas 1" in width, 1" in height. Select a colour from the picture or from the box that pops up - (Colour Picker) for the canvas then click OK
    -another new empty layer, add canvas .02 in H, and .02 in width, select your colour (from pic or colour picker), click OK ( this makes the thin line)
    -another new empty layer add 1" for Width and 1" for height. select your colour, then click OK
    Stop recording the action and you are done.

    After I do all this I then downsize the image to 800 x whatever the smaller dimension is, Save for Web and that's it!!

    Hi Jackie;

    Nice action, did you mean for it to end up 1/4" below bottom of base?

    Thanks for sharing

    Yes Gus, I wanted an anchor for the base of the statue, I guess you are saying I should have cropped it out??? This is a full frame shot, no cropping.

    Great use of actions Jackie Can't imagine having to do all those steps all the time !!!!

    Love the image, high impact and the frame does complement. Excellent use of HDR btw even with only one image Photomatix is making a difference !!!!
