    Sea Lion, Falklands '08

    Pulling some images, as I am headed to the Falkland Is. with a group next week.
    This silvery grebe was incredible, and the images with the chick on the back are not half bad either ;)

    1D Mark III, , 300 f/2.8 w/2x, full frame
    Manual, (sunny f/16 minus .3 EV for white chest highlight) 1/1000 @ f/8, ISO 200
    Post-production- ARC 5.2, CS4

    Beautiful bird and excellent capture. I like the composition, details and exposure control. The droplets add to it.

    My compliments!
    Very nice details and pose. Eye contact is great. I like the almost-blond raised feathers.

    Gorgeous portrait Chas! Love the details and waterdroplets, the red eye and blue water BG is the icing on the cake! Love it....

    OUtstanding details Charles. A truly magnificent image. Love the slowly fading (out of focus) water. :)
