Next time I am on the river, I'll attempt to capture the hundreds of vultures in the trees at this junction in the river.
They continually fly back and forth across the river, and squabble over territory, flapping their huge wings against the branches and twigs.

These three seemed quite dignified by comparison. I don't know why, but they remind me of judges in robes....

I know the sawn branch is a distraction, but I don't know if it's enough to warrant cloning. So far, I have only adjusted the contrast, saturation and sharpening (and NR) in Lightroom.

    Thanks for your comments,

    Amy D.

Love the picture Amy and how you have got the focus and HA. The stumpe doesn't bother me too much, but I find my eye keeps cominmg back to the branch that is intersecting with the chest of the foremost bird. Beautiful details in the blacks.

OH - Jackie, thanks - I hadn't even noticed the branch leading to the chest. Funny how we miss these things. I guess that's what the forum is for!

That one looks easy enough to take care of!

    :)

    Well composed Amy,
I like the depth of field...the colors and details in the black are dead on...you have good head angles, and I like the habitat...the mood on this one is great...my only suggestion would be to remove the diagonal branch touching the first bird...other than this, I like it very much...congrats...
