    Default Pine Siskin + repost

Backyard feeder set-up + blind. Finally got some satisfactory perches, and out them to good use. The Siskin count was over 40 individuals at one point yesterday!! Redpolls ahve started to show up in better numbers too. This is one of the first post-processed images from yesterday's yard outing. I opted to leave the larger OOF snowflakes in, but I'm personally on the fence when it comes to those.

    Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, eval metering, 1/250s., f/6.3, ISO 640, +1 EC, natural light, hand held, about 90% full-frame.

Daniel you did well keeping the snow flakes IMO. They add a lot of character to the overal scene. The image seems to need a litle bit of contrast boosting but the bird´s pose, head turn, eye contact and sharpness are relly good. :-)

Nice Daniel. Image is perfection- comp., perch, BG, sharpness.

Interesting that your invasion of Redpolls and Siskins happened about the same time as in the Maritimes. You can image this "wall" of birds moving south and lighting up feeders as they go.

This perch looks much better. I like the pose, details and BG and agree regarding a slight contrast boost.
