A little bit of fog and a little bit of sun, so I tried something a bit different today. 50D, 70/200 f/4 at f/8, Av mode, 1/1000, ISO400.

    Hi Dave,
I like the composition very much...I modified your image slightly by cropping 1/4 from the left of the frame to off set your subjects...toned down the upper light areas a bit, increased contrast and selective sharpened the plants....see if this works for you...

    Hi dave:

I like the mood of your capture as shown, reminds me of photos at the Front in WWll with ghostly forms showing up suddenly through the mist. Well done.

    Thanks for sharing.

Great composition with a gloomy effect Dave. Could go with either.

    Hi Dave,
Like the moodiness of the shot. Night evict the cattail and the branch in the LLC. Like the lighter version by Gus. Think it would make a nice print.

I thought I would take the suggestions and give this one another run. Cropped out the extra stuff, LLC, I didn't really like it either, toned down bright area, upped contrast and more sharpening. I think it is better.

I like the end result a lot and if anything would like seeing more form the right for proportion. These type is all about personal preference and I like it a lot !!! Big Congrats !!!

I would also add more to the right of the frame for balance...

That last repost is exactly what I was hoping you would do! Excellent! It really brings that one catail into focus and leaves the mood of the image undisturbed. Fantastic!
