Another one from last year. It was -35 Celsius here yesterday:). Have been busy with work again so it looks like I will just be around on weekends for a while although I do keep up with the posts to see what is going on and critique as many as I can.

Did an effect on it using NIK Silver Efex Pro.
    Cropped a little for composition.

    Comments appreciated.
    Thanks!!

Jackie, I like this and would love to see it w/o frame-it may add too much dark around the edges and be competing with the tree as a frame, not sure. It looks like it needs a slight rotation, The silver efex is great. I love the tones and contrast! It's a great shot and well seen!

    A very pretty scene Jackie,
I like the way the tree branch frames the background...I too think that it presents best without the black frame...good show...looking forward to your next one...

It's so lovely, Jackie, but I did do one small tweak to it - I think it makes the composition even stronger. Notice the difference?

Yes you took out two branches, and I like it better, thanks Jules.

I too like how the main tree branches frame the image. I wonder how it would look with a fog filter (or something similar) over the bg, to separate the bg even more from the foreground tree.

Really pretty Jackie, like Julie's extra fix! Do think the frame is a bit strong maybe

I guess I'll go against the majority. I like it with the frame, to me it adds to the feel of this beautiful scene.
    IMHO

    Hi Jackie:

Another Patagonia Park, we have one here in Arizona with a large lake too. Like your treatment, it fits in with my idea of Ontario's cold winter

    Thanks for sharing

    Uncle Gus

BTW: Your wide black border doesn't bother me, in fact I think a title and small sig in bottom border would balance it.
